“Children do not experience our intentions, no matter how heartfelt. They experience what we manifest in our tone and behaviour.”

I believe all parents love their children and that we are all doing the best we can. But parenthood is tough, and despite our best intentions and undeniable love, we sometimes find ourselves acting in ways that are not loving toward our kids or that do not take into account their developmental needs or specific temperament. Other times, we are simply in unchartered territory, or feel like we're in over our heads, and could just use some outside support. Using a brain-based approach, I’m here to help you find better ways to stay connected to yourself and your child, even when the going gets tough.

With compassion, curiosity and a healthy dose of humor, I hope to work with you to build on your strengths and help you become the parent you wish to be. I offer both psychotherapy and consultation/coaching to parents. Whether you’re looking to address deeper issues that may be impacting your ability to parent the way you’d envisioned, or need help with a specific parenting struggle, I am here to help.

My work as a psychotherapist, parent coach and educator is informed by the latest in  neuroscience research, attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology. I have extensive training in various modalities and have been in private practice in New York City since 2008.

I am also a mom to two children, so I also know firsthand the many ups and downs that come with parenthood.

I have assisted at countless therapeutic trainings, given workshops throughout NYC for both therapists and parents and I’m on the faculty at The Trauma Studies Center at The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy where I teach an annual course to therapists in training.

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all model. My integrative approach ensures you will receive the treatment plan that is right for you in a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, safe and warm.

With proven tools and a lot of support, I’ll help you navigate your specific parenting challenges, and most importantly, help you strengthen your connection with your child.

Whether you're looking for psychotherapy or parent coaching or consultation, I have experience with a variety of parenting issues and struggles including but not limited to:
